Nebraska Concealed Carry Course
The Nebraska Concealed Carry Course is an 8 hour course. This includes approximately 6 hours of classroom instruction and a couple of hours at the range. Students will be taught the basics of personal defense including; situational awareness, conflict resolution, handgun safety, handgun shooting techniques, and the legal issues of carrying a weapon. Students must pass a 30 question written test with a score of 70% or higher. Students will then practice and qualify on the range. The qualification course is 30 rounds shot from 3-21 feet on an FBI Q target and students must shoot a score of 70% or higher. Students must possess a valid Nebraska Drivers License or State Issued ID. Student will need to bring a handgun, strong side holster, 100 rounds of ammunition, shirt or light jacket for concealment, eye and ear protection. This class is limited by law to the first 25 registered students.
Introduction to handguns
The introduction to handgun course is designed for those who are interested in handguns but have little knowledge of them. If you are interested in Concealed Carry but apprehensive of the shooting portion of it this class is designed to give you the confidence you need to be successful. We will teach you the handgun basics including; types, nomenclature, ammunition choices, safety, and disassembly and cleaning. Upon completion of the classroom portion we will shoot on the range. You will be taught proper stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breathing, and follow through. You may bring your own handgun with 150 rounds of ammunition and a strong side holster. You will shoot the same qualification course as the Nebraska Concealed Carry class. We also have handguns available for use. The course will last approximately 4 hours.
Advanced Handgun Techniques
The advanced class is designed for those shooters who already have some working knowledge of handguns or for those who have already completed the concealed carry course. This course will expand on that knowledge. You will be instructed in; advanced marksmanship, the types of malfunctions and how to clear them, speed reloads, multiple targets, shooting and moving, handgun retention, different shooting positions, and much more. This class is dynamic and will take your shooting to another level. Students will need a handgun, 200 rounds of ammunition, a strong side holster, and at least one spare magazine or speedloader. The course will last 4-6 hours.
